Did you know there is a giant “CU” on the Boulder Flatirons?

We all love gazing at the Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado. But did you know there is a giant “CU” etched into the Third Flatiron? I say etched because it has been treated with so many chemicals and mechanical devices over the years. That the letters are pretty much etched into the rock. There is even a faint “I” next to the “CU.” Spelling “ICU.” In this video, we tell the story of how those letters appeared and how to locate the damage. Lost Giant Cannibals of Lovelock Caves Nevada

For more than a century, a story has persisted about the skeletons red-headed giants being found in the Lovelock Cave in northern Nevada. Famed Nevadan Piute Sarah Winnemucca first wrote an acclaimed book back in the late 1800’s. In this book she writes that the Paiutes waged a three-year war against a tribe of red-headed cannibals.
