Estes Park & Rocky Mountain National Park Elk Rut

Recently a Woman was attacked by a bull elk on a sidewalk in Estes Park, Colorado. It is important that tourist visiting Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park understand that during the Elk Rut season the bulls are very aggressive. And you should never be near an elk herd at any time of the year. They are wild animals and become very aggressive during the Elk Rut. For safety reasons, a telephoto lens should be used when photographing any wildlife. Don’t spoil your trip or the safety of other travelers, by getting too close to wildlife.
