Cruise Ship: Galveston to Cozumel & Chichén Itzá Mexico

Did you know that several cruise ships leave Galveston Texas on a daily basis for the Caribbean? We did just that (see video below). We took a 5-day cruise to Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula. Where we took guided tours of the Mayan culture. We experienced the Mesoamerican ballgame from the Maya and Aztec culture; did some tequila tasting; visited the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza and a traditional Mayan village. Great Gatsby Hair & The White Rose Gala 1920’s Ball

On New Year’s Eve we attended the1920’s White Rose Gala in Denver, Colorado. It consisted of Flapper dresses, stylish sequins and fancy fedoras. The event was an elegant charity event where you are immersed by musical and theatrical performances. This elegance Roaring 20’s event transported us into the past. Just outside of Denver, Colorado, in the Rocky Mountains, is The Stanley Hotel. The Stanley Hotel is known as the inspiration for Stephen King’s 1977 novel, The Shining. Haunted Park Is Built Over 2000+ BODIES

In Denver, Colorado lays a beautiful 80.7 acre grassy knoll known as Cheesman Park. East of Denver’s Capitol Hill, the park boasts greenery, gardens, the Cheesman Pavilion & about 2,000 buried bodies. The homes around the family park have claims of hauntings and sighting of ghosts not only in their homes, but in the park and adjunct Denver Botanical Gardens.  Several skeletons have been discovered over the years and relocated to other cemeteries. The 1980 movie “The Changeling” is about these claimed hauntings. The director claims that the movie even scared Martin Scorsese and Guillermo del Toro.
