Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” For 2024 Won’t be Reimagined

Jordan Brand will expand on the Jordan 3 lineup in 2024 with the release of the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement”. The shoes will be available during the Holiday 2024 season and retail for $220. With a release date set for November 23, 2024, it will come in full family sizes, making sure adults and kids can wear them.

The Holiday 2024 season from Jordan Brand will be an exciting one. With an abundance of classic silhouettes returning in their original color options, this will be one of the best seasons from the brand this year, let alone the last several years. A model receiving additional love is the Air Jordan 3, a favorite amongst many. There are four original colorways of the silhouette, and one of those is returning true to OG form. For the Holiday 2024 season, the “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3 will be available at select retailers.

News first broke via Sole Savy, but we can also confirm from our sources that the “Black Cement” Jordan 3 will be released this Holiday season. Making room for the shoes, the brand has pushed back the “Black Cat” Jordan 3, which will debut in 2025. Initially expected to be part of the “Reimagined” series, this rendition will now feature ’88 specs.

The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” was originally released in 1988 and is one of four OG colors. We have seen the shoes released six times, with the seventh being dropping in 2024. As mentioned, the first launch was in ’88, but the first retro took place in 1994, and the second retro occurred in 2001. For a special drop in 2008, Jordan Brand combined the “Black Cement” Jordan 3 with the Jordan 20, to equal the number 23, and known as the “Countdown Pack.” The last two times we saw this rendition drop was in 2011 and 2018.

History of Reimagined Air Jordans

The first “Reimagined” Air Jordan to be released was the “Bred Patent” Jordan 1, released in 2021. Since then, it spawned several new takes on classic colorways. Next, the “Lost & Found” Jordan 1 arrived at retailers, probably the most sought-after of the series, followed by the “White Cement Reimagined” Jordan 3 in 2023. Dropped in the same year is the “Royal Reimagined” Jordan 1, which wasn’t a favorite amongst sneakerheads. For 2024, Jordan Brand will debut the “Bred Reimagined” Jordan 4 and the “Black Toe Reimagined” Jordan 1, both are highly anticipated.

True to the OG

This Air Jordan 3 is dressed in Black, Fire Red, Cement Grey, and Sail. The difference between the 2024 and 2018 pair is this time around, the brand will make them true to OG form. In other terms, the build will be closer to the original shape and once again, will have Nike Air branding on the heel, insoles, and outsoles.

For fans of the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement”, the shoes will be released at select Jordan Brand retailers on November 23rd, 2024. Arriving in full family sizes, the retail price for men is $220, $150 for grade school, $90 for preschool, and $75 for toddler sizes.
