Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat” Returning Spring 2025

The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat” will be released again for the Spring 2025 season. The shoes feature an all-Black look, incorporating new materials for the model, and are inspired by Michael Jordan’s nickname: “Black Cat.” The retail price is $200 and will be available in full family sizes.

Before Michael Jordan entered the NBA or college, he was nicknamed the “Black Cat.” The moniker was chosen due to the way he moved on the court. His movements were smooth and stealthy but could strike at the drop of a dime. Similar to how a panther hits his prey. The nickname even spawned its own silhouette, the Air Jordan 13. The outsole of the shoes resembled that of a panther’s paws. However, we also saw several models dubbed “Black Cat,” which features an all-Black makeover. One of those is the “Black Cat” Air Jordan 3, which will make a return to retailers in the Spring 2025 season.

The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat” was originally released on June 16, 2007, and 17 years later, the model will make a return. Retailing for $125, the 2024 iteration will cost at least $200. Also, each pair came with a retro card.

This Air Jordan 3 comes dressed in a Off Noir and Black color combination. In the early days, some even dubbed this pair “Triple Black” due to the look. Highlighted with Black nubuck on the upper, the same shade adorns the patent leather strip above the elephant print around the toe and stops halfway across the panels. For a matching look, a glossy overlay drapes the midsole. The laces also feature a Charcoal elephant print, while a Jumpman logo lands on the heels. Other details include a Black Jumpman on the tongues, matching rubber outsole, and “Black Cat” stitched underneath the heel tabs.
